Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size and/or complex to large projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution, especially in smaller units.The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Marine and Ports Division of ABB, Singapore.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tLeading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.•\tMonitoring and controlling project financials to maintain or improve contract margins, cash flow and cash generation•\tProviding leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.•\tSupporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.•\tIdentifying, containing and reducing risk, and ensure that all opportunities for Customer Satisfaction, Margin Improvement and/or Project Growth are captured and acted upon.•\tDriving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications for the role

You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing electrical power plant, drives system and automation projects of marine projects.Ability to demonstrate your experience in delivering integrated projects comprise of Electrical Power system, Drive System and Automation system to the marine sector/offshore/ /shipbuilding/oil & gas or power Plants will be an added advantage.Possess an enhanced knowledge in handling contractual term and conditions and provide effective communication for realising project results. Degree in Electrical, Automation or Marine Engineering course plus a project management certification is a plus.You are at ease communicating in English.You hold works rights in Singapore and willing to travel to client sites.
