TelCom is currently looking for a Project Management (PMO) Manager, reporting to our Cedar Rapids, IA location. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning and closeout of assigned projects by working cross-functionally to ensure they are kept on time and under budget within the Company's commitment to Project Quality and Customer Satisfaction in a turn-key environment. Travel 50-75% is required. What will you do: Oversees the planning, organizing, executing, monitoring, controlling and successful close out of assigned projects; Maintains regular and consistent communication with the Construction Management team with a focus on project congruence. Utilizes and provides meaningful and timely reports to management using key performance indicators to aid in managing and communicating the health of the project; Enhances existing processes and introduces economies of repetition in the execution of projects; Establishes processes to account for end-to-end work-flow that identify all turn-key touch points necessary to fulfill contractual obligations specific within a particular customer engagement; Identifies transition criteria and then manages stakeholder touch points, internal and external, from receipt of customer work order through invoice approval, ensuring complete contractual compliance; Removes obstacles and empowers project construction operations to be successful; Constantly manages and monitors project progress, risk and the quality of the customer experience; Coordinates project level activities including but not limited to critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution and critical path risk identification/mitigation. Pro-actively identifies and resolves potential issues before they become problems. Monitors project status reporting timeliness and reports issues and resolution efforts to internal stakeholders and the customer; Participates in weekly project level status calls with the customer, keeping expectations aligned through schedule variance tracking and risk mitigation techniques; Tracks project change and delay impact; Assists inventory department to forecast and manage material availability to facilitate the scheduled work on time and under budget; Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an industry-related Engineering or Project Management field and 4-7 years of experience in delivering OSP Telecommunications services or other utility-related industry, or combination of education and experience is required; Experience creating and managing a Project Management Plan; PMP or PgMP Certification is strongly preferred; Experience with MS Project managing computer-based systems across multiple projects with resource driven, critical path management and earned value scheduling methodologies or similar; Strong negotiator and consensus builder; Proven leadership in a cross functional team environment; Proficient word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet and cloud-based computer skills are required. Working knowledge of Goggle suite of applications strongly preferred; Understanding of the project life cycle as defined by PMI; Ability to apply project management concepts, and methodologies; Proficient understanding of financial practices and principles; Proficient Technical Writing Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance Core Competencies: Teamwork and Servant leadership Complex problem solving and critical thinking Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to effectively apply technology Openness to change Ability to develop and maintain relationships Meticulously Organized Self-motivated and driven Organizational commitment and congruence Work Environment: The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
