Job Description
We are seeking a Carpenter Project Manager to manage, oversee, and execute commercial construction projects from the inception phase to completion. Projects include restaurants, offices, assisted living facilities, higher education buildings, and more, primarily involving metal carpentry. The role involves managing 3-7 projects at a time, with 75-85% of the work performed in the office and 15-25% involving visits to job sites to check on project status and report back to the customer and internal team. This position does not require fieldwork, only occasional site visits.
ResponsibilitiesPursue new customers and projects through marketing efforts.Review and finalize contracts.Process subcontractor contracts or purchase orders.Monitor job progress against budget and schedule.Conduct field kickoffs with field staff and general foreman.Attend job meetings as required.Price bulletins and resolve job issues.Secure vendor pricing and approve vendor invoices.Approve completed amounts for billing to customers.Process additional work authorizations.Perform material takeoffs and update job cost budgets.Essential Skills5 years of experience in metal carpentry project management.Experience in commercial construction project management.Knowledge of metal studs, millwork, drywall, and cold-formed metal framing.Proficiency with edge routers and the Viewpoint software.Strong organizational and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read blueprints.OSHA 10 certification.Scissor Lift Certification.Experience with K-12 projects.Previous experience as a Project Manager at a millwork shop.Degree in Construction Management.Proficiency with Edge software.Work Environment
The team is divided into two departments: Carpentry and Millwork. The office comprises 14 people, including project engineers, millwork project managers, a director of operations, a project estimator, and administrative staff. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50
