Project Manager

As a Project Manager in ECO EA, you will play a key role in the global delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives and will be responsible for leading programs of varying complexity.  You will independently lead small-medium complexity projects through the full life cycle with guidance from senior management. Maximizes value by developing and facilitating initiative approaches, including benefits realization, governance structures, change management, and ECO practice engagement.

You will partner with leaders across Europe and Asia to lead, develop, and oversee delivery of strategic business initiatives.  You will lead efforts to develop and analyze options to solve strategic business problems as it relates to our long-term strategic plan and partner with stakeholders to recommend appropriate approaches for solving business challenges and ensuring alignment.

You have a minimum of four years of project management experience with a track record of successful execution of assigned projects to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers (i.e., time, budget, resources, scope)

Experience working in the asset management industry and/or familiarity with a wide variety of investment products and vehicles would be strongly preferred for this role

You are a skilled communicator and can facilitate ambiguous and challenging discussions. You've fine-tuned your communication style to connect with a variety of stakeholders including executive-level stakeholders

You've partnered cross-functionally to solve complex problems and have the confidence and courage to influence others and add value with a focus on understanding and managing the impact of change

You've had previous success with strategic and/or operational project delivery experience (business strategy, technology systems, vendor management), and have the ability to apply and lead flexible delivery models to execute the work

When developing and executing a plan, you consider long term impacts and make a personal commitment to exploring diverse perspectives and dissenting viewpoints with a continuous improvement mindset

You thrive on challenges and enjoy partnering with others to achieve meaningful results

The Role and Responsibilities:

Change and Project Delivery and Delivery Methodology

Manages multiple independent projects or workstreams; limited cross project dependencies with minimal supervision required

Governance – Contributes to the development of a governance structure; with minimal supervision – develops agendas and facilitates meaningful discussion for small/medium projects

Executes initiatives via standard PM methodologies

Applies the appropriate PM methodologies to the type of project

Project / Team Leadership

With PM or SM guidance, makes effective decisions during stressful situations by remaining calm while inspiring confidence, assesses the situation and understands what input or analysis is required

Can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty. Can shift gears comfortably.

Communicates effectively with project team by providing clear messages to team without ambiguity and identifies communication barriers within the team

Maintains team morale by reinforcing positive work environment and recognizes others' accomplishments

With PM or SM guidance, can identify areas of ambiguity and manage project teams through decision-making

Change Management

Builds a change management strategy and plan as part of the delivery of an effort. Work with the Senior Manager if additional change management expertise is required for the effort

With Senior Manager guidance, leverages expertise from the Change Management practice for highly impactful change efforts

With support from Change Management practitioners, demonstrates ability to gain proficiency in applying and executing innovative change management techniques

Develops and executes upon communication/content development strategy to effectively engage and inform stakeholder groups. Able to identify appropriate and most connective communication channels to engage the appropriate audience groups.

Influence and Stakeholder Management

Stakeholders are defined; processes are in place but need to be executed upon

Understands different perspectives of stakeholders and responds appropriately (engages with SM or below, may engage with directors with support)

Identifies when expectations may need to be reset, escalating to manager if further support is required

Explains and gains support for the desired outcome (e.g., the initiative’s project delivery approach with stakeholders)

Recognizes where opinions need to come together and facilitates the team coming together to an aligned conclusion at the Manager+ level

Can help represent the aligned conclusion and key details at leadership forums

Resource and Value Management

Breaks problems into smaller pieces and resolves small to medium complexity problems and escalates large problems with alternative options

Can independently facilitate the development and measurement of the “value/benefit proposition” of the work

Domain Knowledge

Has limited domain knowledge, but demonstrates strong technical acumen and applies this to project planning and delivery

Demonstrates foundational understanding of ECO's practices. Ability to recognize potential opportunities to engage ECO practices.

Developing Talent

Capable of coaching & mentoring Sr. Analysts and/or practice minors/ delegates (coaching through their project work, associate feedback, training, etc.)

Business Knowledge

Has limited business knowledge, but demonstrates strong business acumen and applies this to project planning and delivery

Leading ECO

Actively contributes to the culture of ECO within “family”

May lead a “Give Back” effort within ECO or broader CG

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
