Downer Energy & Utilities has been awarded a new contract by Unitywater valued at $600 million over an initial 5-year term. With a range of projects already underway, Downer is delivering capital works for the water, sewerage, recycled water networks across Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions, as well as 17 Sewerage Treatment Plants within the Sunshine Coast localities. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a long-term, high-value contract that will significantly expand the delivery of our services across the south-east Queensland region. 

The Opportunity… 

We are expanding our delivery team significantly and have an opportunity for a Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of complex construction projects. Leading a team of high-performing technical professionals, the Project Manager is responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning and handover of water and wastewater networks and assets. To be successful in this role, you have the ability to collaborate, manage and evolve stakeholder relationships, collaborate with the wider program whilst driving time, cost, quality and safety outcomes. This is a long-term opportunity within our thriving Utilities business, to live and work in a stunning location.

ABOUT YOU

Tertiary qualification in Engineering and Project Management. Experience managing and delivering a portfolio of complex construction projects.  Demonstrated experience driving results across teams and managing budget, time, quality and safety outcomes. Strong business acumen and the ability to make decisions whilst managing conflicting priorities.  Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the business.
