Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction project management, including the planning, organization, and staffing of key field positions. This role is crucial in ensuring that construction projects are completed on schedule and within budget, while maintaining high performance standards and compliance with project objectives, policies, and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with members of the construction project team to ensure the success of the project.Plan, organize, and staff key field positions.Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.Control and monitor construction through the on-site superintendent to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.Provide staffing, technical direction, and employee development.Develop and implement project scheduling standards and procedures; monitor compliance.Manage all planning and scheduling activities, including schedule development, progress updates, and problem analysis.Maintain input for schedules, cost reports, project accounting, estimates, document control, and RFI/shop drawing logs.Prepare meeting agendas, attend project meetings, and prepare and distribute minutes.Solicit and obtain quotes for vendor-supplied items and subcontracts in compliance with specifications.Summarize vendor bids based on price, delivery, quality, and past performance.Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts.Prepare and issue subcontracts and subcontract change orders.Prepare and place purchase orders and purchase change orders.Handle third-party rental agreements.Address and resolve invoicing problems.Expedite the site delivery of materials and labor.Interact with subcontractors and vendors to address construction issues.Correct any material or equipment defects and monitor warranty claims.Assemble closeout documentation in accordance with contract requirements.Essential SkillsExtensive construction project management experience.Knowledge of architectural, structural, and/or MEP systems.Construction/field experience.Exceptional computer skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and technical knowledge of construction assemblies and construction costs.Detail-oriented, organized, with strong time management skills.Team player with strong communication skills.Professional written and oral communication skills.Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering + Management, Architecture, or related fields is preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with interior construction, commercial fit outs, and lab fit outs.5+ years of experience with fit-out projects, including scheduling and budget management.Ability to run projects independently without requiring hand-holding.Strong communicator who is not afraid of having fun.Work Environment

This role primarily involves working from the job site, with some opportunities for remote work and occasional time spent in the Malden office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $59.00
