Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesTo strengthen our team, we are searching for a Project Manager, to take the end-to-end responsibility for the administrative scope of the projects, ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.Responsibilities•\tPlanning & Scheduling:Together with the Planning team the Project Manager shall use scheduling techniques to manage the project schedule, identify and mitigate possible risks on time, avoiding schedule delays and overruns.•\tProcurement & Manufacturing ManagementThe Project Manager shall oversee the procurement of the project equipment based on the contractual Bill of Quantities, list of vendors available from ABB and the released technical and commercial offers, which he/she must compare with the technical specifications of the contract, lead times and allocated cost.During the Manufacturing process the Project Manager must ensure the drawings received from factories are reviewed and submitted to customer for approval and give follow-up to the factories before FAT. •\tSite Execution & ControlOnce all equipment is manufactured and with FAT, they should be transported to assembly or installation site where The Project Manager shall oversee the coordination between logistic, site and customer teams for the reception, storage, installation and commissioning as per IEC specifications and in accordance with the scope of the contract. Project Managers shall monitor the project progress effectively and efficiently, managing resource utilization, project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.•\tContract and ClaimsProject Managers shall ensure the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements, supporting Procurement and Logistics department in negotiations, claims and project scope changes. •\tPeople Leadership and DevelopmentProject Managers shall lead the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result. Project Managers shall set role targets to their team to help advance the development of the personnel in their charge. •\tStakeholder relations Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders. •\tHealth, safety and environment (HSE) Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications for the roleRequired Qualifications \tBachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.\tPrevious experience managing projects in the electrical area.\tKnowledge of electrical designs of low and medium voltage.\t4-6 years of experience in similar roles working with projects.\tAvailability to travel or relocate full time as per project necessities. \tIntermediate – advanced English level. \tExperience in using ERP software such as SAP\tExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\tStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.
