The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Dell Medical School is seeking a Project Manager. This position has an end date of 8/31/2025.
This is a federally and state funded position sponsored by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCMHCC was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children, adolescents, and perinatal women.
The University of Texas Dell Medical School is a Health Research Institute (HRI) for the TCMHCC. The Project Manager will support the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program, as well as other related Dell Children’s Medical Center initiatives. TCHATT provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provides access to mental health services.
Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Clinical Services and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the Project Manager will support the Texas Child Mental Health Clinical Programs and related initiatives by leading process improvement, developing procedural documentation, and providing logistical
assistance.
Responsibilities
Recommend and assist with projects to document, modernize, streamline, and implement improvements to enhance processes and create efficiencies. Develop procedural documentation.
Lead strategic process improvement initiatives across multiple functional areas to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes through identification, documentation, and development of reporting tools. Lead process improvement teams with staff and implements process changes directly.
Collaborate with the leadership to support the implementation of clinical projects for the Texas Child Mental Health programs. Collaborate with leadership to track and facilitate progress on clinical goals and priorities. Drive organizational efficiency by optimizing processes, workflows, and resource allocation.
Use data to develop accurate assessments and guide daily actions for TCHATT and the larger Texas Child Mental Health Clinical Programs. This includes analyzing retention and other service data to develop protocols and strategies for supporting the clinical team in providing services to students in K-12 school districts.
In collaboration with subject matter experts, design and facilitate solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience. Develop TCHATT strategies and monitor projects to ensure they are in line with each other.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on organizational issues and initiatives to provide senior leadership with information and recommendations, as assigned. Participate in efforts to continuously improve processes, procedures, and systems.
Assist with special projects as needed.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree with at least 5 years of coordinating and administering a program. At least 5 years of experience working in or with K-12 schools. Demonstrated communication skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail, prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Highly detail-oriented. Professional demeanor with tact and respect at all times. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various delicate, formal or urgent situations. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethical and practice standards.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in information science, business analytics, or a similar field. At least 10 years of coordinating and administering a program. At least 10 years of experience working in or with K-12 schools. Analytical, computer, math, and problem-solving skills to be able to use a variety of software. High level of proficiency with at least one video conferencing platform, e.g., Zoom. Experience in Excel, Google Sheets, Athena, and Smartsheet. Experience with database management. Technical writing skills including experience writing procedural handbooks and policies.
Salary Range$70,000+ depending on qualifications
