Job Description SummaryLead full turnkey AC systems onshore and/or offshore projects, including design, supply, construction, electro-mechanical installation, and testing & commissioning works in MEA. Managing and leading the functional areas in coordination and collaboration with the project team, comprising functions such as engineering, onshore project management, project cost control and planning, finance, EHS, quality, construction, and contracts management, to drive and control project activities in strict adherence to processes and procedures. Managing customer and subcontractors in accordance with the contracts, company targets, compliance rules, as well as the priorities and targets set by the project director. Managing, monitoring, and achieving project financial targets, including but not limited to sales, cash flow, invoicing, and positive margin releases, in coordination with the finance team and other functions. Managing company project management tools and reporting tools in accordance with the project director and PMO reporting expectations, acknowledging and efficiently using company tools with due diligence for proper reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Partnering with all project stakeholders (internal & external), you are accountable for project delivery to specification, budget, on time, and to the satisfaction of the customerMeasure, optimize, and report the key operational & financial indicators of the project in accordance with the applicable governance and pacing cyclesPlan, manage, and deliver an entire project from transfer through to FAC, ensuring that additional business opportunities are pursued, and high levels of customer satisfaction and maximum margin/value are achievedEnsure good, transparent, and effective reporting, and deliver all documents in a timely manner so that progress can be fully communicatedTake responsibility for all aspects of Project Management for the overall project(s) full scope managementTake responsibility for all aspects of work package execution for the overall project(s), including the creation of the M.D work breakdown structureTake responsibility for delivering the project on time for the overall project(s)Take responsibility for improving the margin level of the project(s)Ensure Project Quality Management as per GE contractual obligations, international standards, and the GE contract scopeManage, control, and lead the project workload in the most efficient way for GESupport settlements & claims in accordance with the contract, analyzing the root causes of deviations, and fostering continuous improvementEHS - Take an active part in the communication & implementation of EHS plans and ensure a consistent approach in business decisions that impact EHS. Represent the company when needed in related legal aspects and ensure that EHS is integrated into the project strategyProject Integration Management - Identify all parties (internal & external stakeholders) having a vested interest in the project and ensure their needs and impacts are balanced to achieve a win-win outcome in line with the contractual obligationsProject Risk Management - Implement a risk management plan involving all stakeholders of the project. Consistently track all risk activities throughout the project life cycle. Establish accurate performance metrics to score risk and ensure communication of riskProject Cost & Finance Management - Understand and demonstrate financial management for the benefit of the company. Be able to interpret financial reports and systems sufficiently to know the financial status of a project at any given time, ensure that resources are best utilizedProject Scope Management - demonstrate the ability not only to manage the overall scope of the project but also to oversee the scope of each participating entity to ensure all interfaces/overlaps are understoodProject Time Management - Ensure that all specific activities (including proactive claim management) that must be performed to produce the various project deliverables are identified and carried out by the project teamTender validation - validate the delivery model, commitments, and risks & opportunities of tenders

Required Qualifications

Able to reside in Ankara or CairoBachelor’s degree in engineering fields, preferably electrical engineeringAdvanced level of English and Arabic both oral & written, other languages is a plusMinimum 5 years’ experience of managing small size projects value (5M Euro) or work package of projectPreferably at least 3 years of experience in high voltage substation businessEnthusiastic and excited for project management in high voltage substation businessExperience in one or several functions involved on operations: logistic, sourcing, engineering, field servicesWillingness to work in different locations & conduct business travels for short or medium periods worldwideBeing comfortable with hybrid working conditions
