Job Title: Program Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager responsible for overseeing program budgets, schedules, and execution. This role involves leading all engineering activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring timely customer deliverables. The position is based near the Aurora, IL with some travel to Montreal, Canada.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and drive all engineering activities through the Project Engineer and Engineering Manager.
+ Track program progress toward customer deliverables and take corrective actions as needed.
+ Ensure all customer dependencies are provided on time for program execution.
+ Maintain up-to-date program milestone schedules.
+ Plan programs with the lead-time required for effective execution of engineering and operations.
+ Manage and coordinate subcontracts with the contract manager.
+ Work closely with Quality/SQA/Airworthiness to meet program needs.
+ Develop marketing plans and materials to support sales.
+ Respond to RFIs and RFPs, providing program management input for bids and proposals.
+ Create and execute program plans to meet commitments.
+ Define program scope, goals, and deliverables to support business goals.
+ Develop program schedules to show milestones and required resources.
+ Ensure compliance with ITAR and export policies.
+ Lead the team for efficient definition, design, integration, test, and certification of software and equipment.
+ Support Operations and Supply Chain Management in managing subcontractors and vendors.
+ Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
+ Coordinate input and actions of team members and stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
+ Monitor program schedules and establish action plans for issues.
+ Establish and maintain financial infrastructure for program economics.
+ Identify and mitigate program risks.
+ Ensure technical requirements are defined and met.
+ Represent the company with responsiveness, integrity, and courtesy.
+ Interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding the contract.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Electrical or Computer Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in Program Management or Project Management.
+ Good knowledge of software development project/program planning.
+ Experience with bids and proposals.
+ Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
+ Strong writing skills for interfacing with support groups.
+ Organizational and implementation skills for multidisciplinary engineering activities.
+ Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Resident.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ MBA or PMP certification.
+ Aerospace or military experience.
+ Experience in highly regulated industries like telecommunications or medical.
+ Exposure to DO-178 certification.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
