Project Manager
Description We are in search of a Project Manager to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Los Angeles, California. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity, with a hybrid work schedule that includes some local travel. The Project Manager will be instrumental in establishing a Project Management Office (PMO), assessing existing systems, and implementing strategic improvements. Responsibilities: • Establish a PMO, including the development of project management frameworks, templates, and tools. • Conduct a detailed analysis of current business and reporting systems, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions. • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for project management and conduct training sessions for internal staff. • Oversee the entire project life-cycle, from proposal decisions to project close-outs and renewals. • Ensure seamless integration of systems through strategic consulting. • Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. • Prepare weekly written updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. • Utilize skills in Atlassian Jira, Cloud Technologies, CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, IBM, About Time, Agile Scrum, Budget Processes, Communication, Construction, PMO, Standard Operation Procedure, Standard Operating, CRM - Customer Relationship Manager, Conduct Training Sessions, Project Management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Documentation. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the non-profit sector • Proficiency in project management tools such as Atlassian Jira • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and their application in project management • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems • Experience with IBM tools and systems • Proficiency in the use of time management tools such as About Time • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in project management • Experience with budget processes, including planning and tracking • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Knowledge of construction project management is a plus • Experience in Project Management Office (PMO) operations • Familiarity with Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) • Experience in managing CRM - Customer Relationship Manager systems • Ability to conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders • Proven track record in project management, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create and maintain project documentation.
