Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities. **Requisition ID:** 40099BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + As lead financial & administrative officer, overseeing all aspects of the Division’s administrative support programs. Providing comprehensive, high-level direction, development, management, & execution of a complex budget. Will include, but not limited to, management of expenditures & revenues, cash receipts, reconciliations, year-end closing, & adherence to budget preparation deadlines for institutional, university, school or grant authorities. + Provides confidential & administrative support to the AVP, including but not limited to: written correspondences, meeting minutes, editing, etc.; prepares reports for supervisor & may exercise signature authority on administrative correspondences. + Serve as the Division’s subject matter expert on the budget, administrative operations, institutional policy, & HR, recommending strategies for maximizing short- & long-term resources. Responsible for the strategic development & execution of the fiscal plan in conjunction with institutional, school, & departmental goals & objectives. + Develop innovative & entrepreneurial strategies to identify areas of growth & efficiency for the Division. Review/approve financial strategy & plans for proposed auxiliary & student support & success programs. Serve as primary advisor to division leadership on the division's financial health, developing recommendations based on evaluation of market & internal data across all funding sources. + Supervise, delegate, & evaluate operations & administration staff employee(s). Provide departmental budget instructions & guidance to department heads & staff. Evaluate assigned goals & objectives to ensure completion & compliance. + Coordinate, monitor, & streamline the annual Division budget process, including external funding sources. Ensure accuracy in budget preparation & compliance with applicable Federal, State, & institutional policies & procedures. + Coordinate, compile, & submit deliverables, ad-hoc, & scheduled reports. Coordinate, generate, & compile report distribution requested by institutional, university, school, or relevant outside agencies &/or grant authorities. + Manage the allocation of the Division’s multi-faceted resources & be responsible for the successful organization & administration of the Division’s complex fiscal & human resource activities. + Supervise & manage administrative personnel & their activities related to finance, facilities, & HR. Serve as the primary liaison to Academic Affairs, Finance & Administration, & other university offices to resolve interdepartmental concerns. + Develops, implements, & administers departmental office systems & procedures, policies, & operations. + Participate in various university committees & provide related budgetary, analytical, & technical support. May undertake complex tasks as assigned by the university VP of Finance/CFO, VP of Academic Affairs, & SSSE administrative team. Attend monthly & ad-hoc meetings with the CFO & other administrators regarding operations & fiscal & budgetary management. + Serves as principal contact, administrator, & source of information for department customers, including faculty, students, staff, & external customers. + As needed, assist with student engagement & other SSSE activities. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures & processes. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Work Location:** El Paso **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in educational administration, business discipline, social sciences, leadership, communications, or related field; Combined education and experience totaling seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience. + Demonstrated ability to carry out projects with multiple and complex components with minimal supervision and direction. + Demonstrated direct budgeting and forecasting + Demonstrated familiarity with educational software and Banner. + Experience working in a community college or other higher education setting. **Campus:** HSC - El Paso **Department:** SSSE Admin and Ops Elp **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Resume / CV, Transcript **Job Type:** Full Time **Pay Statement:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
