Project Manager

The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for Project Manager.

 

This position will manage projects for the Generative Contemplative Initiative (GCI) and provide direct administrative support for the Initiative’s director.  GCI involves a variety of stakeholders in exploring the nature of Tibetan Buddhist contemplation and the future of designing new forms of contemplation: scholars, designers, meditation teachers, Tibetan and Himalayan lineage holders, and diverse figures in sector-specific application projects. This position would help manage and coordinate the various projects and individuals within the initiative, as well as provide various logistical support services for activities therein. The position would also support the director in various administrative tasks, including arranging meetings, preparing workshops, writing reports and documentation.

High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferredFive years of experience required Knowledge of Tibetan BuddhismExperience with contemplative practice

This position Is located In Charlottesville, VA.

This is a 12 month restricted position with the possibility of renewal, dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. This is an exempt level, benefited position.
