Job Title: Project Chief – Propulsion Systems Cooling
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Chief – Propulsion Systems Cooling to manage technical programs for one or more vehicle lines. This role serves as the key point of contact between the cooling systems design team and various functional areas such as vehicle program management, engineering departments, and manufacturing. The successful candidate will ensure that the cooling system meets all functional and performance requirements while achieving cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives.

ResponsibilitiesLead cooling system responsibilities from the initial concept phase through the end of the vehicle's life.Provide strong support for concept studies, initial packaging, thermal system design, cost and weight analysis, prototype procurement, supplier management, sourcing, tooling kickoff, validation, launch, program maintenance, change management, value optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.Coordinate technical issue resolution related to engineering and quality at all stages of the program and across all functional areas.Support plant development and launch activities onsite as a visible member of the launch team representing cooling systems.Act as the launch lead for cooling systems during the launch phase, responsible for triage and resolution of issues, while communicating status and managing resources.Essential SkillsProject management experience.Knowledge of powertrain systems and components.Strong leadership and coordination skills.Ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cooling system components such as radiator, condenser, fan assembly, transmission oil coolers, high and low pressure hose and tube assemblies, electric coolant heaters, valves, pumps, and chillers.Work Environment

The role requires a dynamic work environment with a focus on plant development and launch activities. The Project Chief will be a visible member of the launch team and must coordinate onsite to ensure successful program implementation. Travel to manufacturing plants and other relevant locations may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.77 - $55.77/hr.
