How do you excel in this position\n
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and supervising the execution of construction projects while balancing budget, quality, and schedule. This role is deployed on multiple projects whose project duration is less than 6 months, include single subcontractor, and single discipline scope of work. They oversee the construction process, safety standards, works with subcontractors, clients, and project engineers. They most often work at the construction site, though they also have a main office for administrative work.\n\nAssociate degree in a field related to construction (i.e., engineering, architecture) or equivalent related work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Higher education degree and additional certifications (i.e., PMP, CEM, LEED AP, EIT, or PE) a plus.\n2+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects required. This role requires applicable experience in building infrastructure and\/or energy reduction initiatives.\nProficient with planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of projects required.\nProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products required.\n10-hour OSHA certification required. 30-hour OSHA certification a plus.\nFluent in project related software & applications such as Sage Intacct, MS Project, PowerBI.\nBasic knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards required.\nIntroductory knowledge of health and safety standards and awareness of legal standard required.\nBasic knowledge and understanding of construction contracts, including terminology, terms & conditions, specifications, roles & responsibilities, and insurance requirements.\nPrimary project financial competence (budget, labor, costs, billings), forecasting (% complete, % billed), KPI's (financial, productivity, quality, culture), and reporting (progress, schedule).\nAbility to negotiate and process change requests.\nGeneral knowledge of construction management best practices through active learning opportunities such as webinars, online learning, meetings, and conferences.\nAbility to multitask and manage multiple projects with efficiency.\nStrong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.\nWork independently, as well as with others, in a professional manner.\nAbility to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.\nMust be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.\n\n
