Project Manager
Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Civil or Landscape construction. This role is pivotal in managing detailed and complex construction projects from the initial planning stages to final completion. The position is approximately 80% office-based and 20% field-based. Responsibilities + Provide overall management of detailed and complex construction projects. + Accountable for all aspects of a project's success from preconstruction planning and procurement to final completion. + Provide direct support to other functional project teams in planning and execution, resolving issues, managing resources, project coordination, and client interfacing. + Set up projects in a timely manner. + Review specifications, contracts, and drawings to determine construction requirements and plan procedures. + Manage overall project performance including scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction. + Serve as the single point of contact, managing customer expectations regarding project performance. + Report project status and performance data to executive management as required. + Ensure compliance with in-house Project Management and Safety Standards. + Plan, execute, monitor, control, and work towards successful project completion. + Manage onsite vendors and subcontractors to ensure performance meets project scope. + Maintain and complete accurate and consistent submittal logs. + Provide updates, schedules, and reports as requested. + Coordinate and ensure all team members have received proper safety training and equipment. + Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work to ensure quality. + Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Essential Skills + Construction knowledge/ background in Civil or Landscape construction (preferably with a self-performing contractor). + 5+ years of experience as a Senior APM or PM managing multiple civil projects. + Proficient in using Procore or HCSS for cost forecasting and scheduling. + Ability to read blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or commensurate experience. + 2 years of prior experience with a heavy/civil self-perform construction company preferred. + Proficiency in software such as HCSS Heavy Bid/Heavy Job, BlueBeam, and Procore. Work Environment The position is based in a brand new office, with hours from 8am to 5pm. The office has over 20 employees and provides a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Fieldwork constitutes approximately 20% of the role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $67.30/hr.
