The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Hybrid Project Manager, Research Support to work at the UHealth Medical Campus in Miami, FL.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager, Research Support coordinates and leads efforts in a variety of research activities that are complex and wide in scope. Moreover, the Project Manager, Research Support (A) operates with the goal of ensuring that the collection of data and administration of studies are performed efficiently and in compliance with applicable guidelines.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Aids in the evaluation of problems with workflow, organization, and planning and develops appropriate analytical approaches.
+ Maintains multiple protocol books and chronicles manuscript preparation.
+ Performs analyses of computerized datasets using standard packages to import, update, and manipulate datasets.
+ Presents studies’ results at professional scientific meetings and conferences.
+ Writes manuscripts and journal articles for peer-reviewed medical journals.
+ Ensures that research program objectives are communicated, met, and results are documented.
+ Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Department Specific Responsibilities:
+ Lead Project Manager for the Director’s Office, overseeing oncology service line initiatives and cancer research operations to ensure seamless project execution and strategic alignment.
+ Data Analysis & Executive Reporting: Analyze complex datasets and translate key findings into high-impact presentations and reports for executive leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
+ Confidentiality & Compliance: Uphold the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information, ensuring strict adherence to institutional policies and regulatory standards.
+ Agility & Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating agility in managing multiple priorities, shifting deadlines, and evolving project requirements.
+ Independent Problem-Solving: Operate with minimal oversight, proactively identifying challenges and implementing solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
+ Strategic Communication: Collaborate across departments, translating technical and research data into actionable insights tailored for various stakeholders, including senior leadership and clinical teams.
+ Grant & Research Operations Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of the grants process, cancer center operations, and the regulatory landscape of oncology and clinical research.
+ Clinical Research Expertise (Preferred): Familiarity with clinical trials, and research protocols, is a strong advantage.
Strategic Planning & Execution
+ Serve as the primary liaison between the Director’s Office and key stakeholders, including clinical, research, administrative, and external partners.
+ Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with the cancer center’s mission, research priorities, and clinical care advancements.
+ Oversee special projects that impact the cancer center’s accreditation, compliance, and operational effectiveness (e.g., NCI designation, regulatory reporting).
Data Analytics & Reporting
+ Work across teams to support the development of dashboards and reports that track clinical trial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic priorities.
+ Create high-impact presentations for executive leadership (internal and external) summarizing cancer research advancements, financial performance, and program growth.
+ Conduct trend analysis on grant funding, research outcomes, and patient demographics to inform leadership decisions.
Stakeholder & External Relations
+ Coordinate high-level engagements with funding agencies, donors, and research collaborators to advance strategic partnerships.
+ Support communication with external stakeholders, including government entities, advocacy groups, and research consortia.
