Project Manager
Description *PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING* We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in the construction industry, located near Lansing, IL. As a Project Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of project management, from pre-construction to project planning/scheduling and close-out. Your role will entail liaising with Building Managers, Architects, Engineers, Municipal, and Public Officials, as well as handling project permits, licenses, bonds, and insurance certificates. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, SPECIFICALLY PLUMBING EXPERIENCE. PLUMBING LICENSE REQUIRED. The position offers a salary of $155,000-$175,000 annually plus benefits including 100% health insurance for employee and family. Responsibilities: • Manage all stages of the project from inception to completion, including pre-construction planning and scheduling • Engage in project bidding, contract negotiation, and development of specifications for product purchase and installation • Collaborate with various stakeholders such as Building Managers, Architects, and Engineers on different aspects of projects • Handle the application and securement of project permits, licenses, and bonds • Oversee the purchasing of materials for projects and maintain inventory for general stock • Generate invoices in various forms, from detailed Time & Material to multi-day Projects • Produce progress reports, and ensure effective communication with internal staff and customers • Review timesheets, enter reports, and maintain cost-to-date analysis • Drive effective communication across internal teams and customers • Ensure projects are conducted within company parameters. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Industrial sector • Proven track record in managing Industrial projects • Proficiency in 'About Time' software • In-depth understanding of budget processes • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written • Extensive knowledge of construction processes and methodologies • Experience in managing commercial construction projects • Ability to evaluate construction cost and manage budget • Familiarity with construction documents and their interpretation • Skill in reading and understanding construction drawings • Experience as a construction estimator is desirable • Deep understanding of the construction industry and its dynamics • Previous experience in handling construction industry projects • Proficiency in construction management and scheduling TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
