Project Manager
Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Epic Project Manager to lead and coordinate initiatives across access and revenue cycle teams, ensuring seamless integration, compliance with regulations, and successful delivery of large-scale projects within the healthcare finance environment. As an experienced project manager, you will leverage your knowledge of Epic systems, healthcare billing workflows, and third-party integrations to deliver critical outcomes that support operational excellence and regulatory adherence. This role will be a contract to hire opportunity and require working 2 days onsite in Martinez, CA. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the primary project manager for complex Epic-related initiatives, ensuring delivery on project objectives, timelines, and scope. + Manage multidisciplinary teams focusing on Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, and other Epic modules related to finance and operations. + Stay abreast of changes in billing and healthcare regulations, coordinating the implementation of regulatory compliance initiatives and aligning system workflows accordingly. + Facilitate communication with users and simplify technical workflows for operational staff to ensure clarity and implementation success. + Lead discussions and implementations related to Epic workflows, billing, and infrastructure. + Engage with stakeholders, including providers, clerks, operations teams, and IT professionals, while addressing diverse personalities across departments. + Develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, payors, and other third-party stakeholders to facilitate integrations and ongoing functionality. + Use Agile methodologies to execute projects when applicable, ensuring adaptability to dynamic priorities and environments. Requirements Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred but can be substituted with additional relevant experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in managing complex IT or healthcare systems projects. At least 3 years of project management on large-scale applications systems, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams. Proven expertise in Epic software (e.g., billing workflow configuration, technical builds, claims integration). Technical Knowledge - Familiarity with: Epic modules Medical billing regulations and claim processes within healthcare IT. System interfaces, payment systems, and claims intermediary workflows. Skills: Strong understanding of billing processes, compliance frameworks, and Epic-related technical language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to break down complex workflows for end users. Ability to collaborate across diverse teams including IT, operations, and clinical stakeholders. Proficiency in Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies, with experience using modern PM tools. Assertive leadership style with the ability to balance diplomacy Preferred: Knowledge of healthcare regulations, claims revenue cycle, and Agile frameworks along with certifications related to Epic systems.
