Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a combination of large and mid-sized, multidiscipline engineering projects for the Department of Defense. This role involves consistent engagement with the US Army Corps of Engineers and Navy Facilities Command (NAVFAC). The selected candidate may work remotely full-time but must be able to travel for periodic meetings.

ResponsibilitiesManage projects with the DOD as the ultimate client, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.Lead and participate in project teams managed by a joint venture (JV).Handle project change orders and contract modifications.Develop project proposals and budgets.Manage subcontractors, ensuring effective leadership, team communication, and performance adherence to corporate and client safety requirements.Engage in business development, including developing proposals and making presentations to win new work.Manage design teams, including sub-consultants, on energy and infrastructure projects.Work on multiple large and small projects simultaneously.Essential SkillsThorough knowledge of Government Clients and Department of Defense Projects.Understanding of Federal Contracting, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation.Experience developing detailed Federal proposals and presentations.Ability to lead and manage technical project teams.Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.Experience in managing proposal efforts and pursuing new client relationships.Proficiency in budget and cost analysis, understanding Key Performance Indicators for projects.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.Experience working in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.15 years of directly related project management experience.Experience managing USACE or NAVFAC projects.Fluency with UFCs, EM385-1-1 safety requirements, SpecsIntact, Projnet/DRChecks, and MII.Experience managing projects with multiple technical disciplines (e.g., architectural, structural, electrical, geotechnical) and subcontractors.Experience writing and developing high-quality technical reports.Proven ability to estimate, scope, schedule, and budget projects.Strong interpersonal, managerial, and team leadership skills.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), licensed AIA Architect, or PMP Certification.Work Environment

The selected candidate may work remotely full-time but is preferred to work hybrid near one of our 50 offices in the U.S. You will work alongside a BIM Manager, Division Manager, and PE. The team often relies on smaller third-party firms outside the continental U.S. for various tasks. Projects tend to run longer than a year and are part of the Federal Division specializing in energy engineering and design, including deep retrofits of buildings, renewable energy, generation, and energy security.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
