Position Summary:
The GCEC is seeking a good-natured, highly collaborative, detail-oriented administrative professional to join the organization as Project Manager. This Project Manager will provide key support to the GCEC Executive Director who ensures that the organization’s overall strategic goals are met. Strong technical and communication skills and abilities, cultural competency, keen attention to detail, the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and event planning experience (virtual, in-person, and hybrid) are all essential for this position.
The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with a wide variety of people, can manage multiple projects and stay organized, can meet deadlines, can take initiative, solve problems and deliver results without close supervision, and has excellent communication skills.
Workplace Requirements:
Rice Business primarily delivers residential classes and activities taking place almost daily between 7 am and 10 pm. We value a highly collaborative and community-based culture, with expectations to provide in-person support and services to all members of our community. Remote work options are limited. Most employment activities are required to be performed in-person and on-campus. This in-person approach is central to the successful achievement of our research and academic missions.
This position may be offered as a hybrid role and may combine both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. Remote work opportunities are possibly extended to the candidate following the successful conclusion of the probationary period
This position is fully remote, permitting all tasks to be completed from any location within the United States. Working hours will remain central standard time.
Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $83,400 minimum, with hiring salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree 3 years of related experience In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.Skills:

3+ years of project management experience Experience and familiarity with digital platforms including or similar to Canva, MailChimp, Slack, and event registration platforms Ability to travel to at least one annual conference and sometimes more than one based on necessityEssential Functions:
GCEC Digital marketing support and management: Maintain the GCEC association management platform on YourMembership that includes the entire website, event registration microsites, and digital resource library. Market events such as the annual conference, virtual events, global summits Create and distribute a monthly e-newsletter. Manage the GCEC general email account inquiries. Serve as administrative lead and main point-of-contact for member and sponsor registration Manage all aspects of annual membership online registration and payments Manage all aspects of conference, summit, and event registration Manage digital aspects of GCEC sponsorships Manage GCEC Virtual Connections Topics – develop a list of topics to be included in the upcoming GCEC Virtual Connections Speakers – help identify speakers to lead that topic discussions/meet and prepare speaker for their session Logistics—create registration form, zoom session, calendar invites, and any other materials needed to execute the series Serve as administrative support for the annual GCEC awards process in partnership with board members Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Functions
