Project Manager
Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description The Project Manager is primarily responsible for driving various customer-specific and internal projects to completion. This position will help create value through analyzing project results and assist in developing business decisions based on those projects. The role involves working with the Operations group on monthly reporting of operational and financial metrics, interfacing with customers and business personnel, and identifying and solving business issues using finance and modeling skills. Responsibilities + Direct project supervision and project workflow. + Maintain proper levels of quality control, meet all project schedules, and ensure efficient utilization of resources. + Communicate project status to management and clients. + Develop project specifications and implement practices to achieve defined objectives to the satisfaction of clients and management. + Maintain working knowledge of utility company policies and procedures to communicate effectively with various professional staffs from client companies. + Be well-versed in the basic tenets of line construction and maintenance, including a working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code and the ability to recognize distribution equipment and associated hazards. + Maintain all confidences regarding highly sensitive and proprietary information. + Manage and develop models for reporting operational KPIs and information flow into monthly performance reports. + Lead analysis of information in preparation of monthly leadership reports in collaboration with Finance and Operations group members. + Support members of the Finance and Operations group to aid understanding and articulation of business drivers, track, and submit projected revenue, earned value, and other operational metrics. + Proactively participate in meetings with construction supervisors to obtain necessary technical, financial, and operational inputs for appropriate reporting. + Assist the Estimating department in putting together new estimates based on historical reporting from past projects. + Perform additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of project management experience with a contractor. + Detailed knowledge of project management fundamentals. + Strong knowledge of finance and accounting. + Business acumen and excellent communication skills. + Experience in construction management, line construction, quality control, and scheduling. + Proficiency with MS Office. + Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NEC). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Financial studies and knowledge of the electricity and electrical construction market preferred. + Experience working for a self-performing contractor. + Substantial civil or high voltage electrical experience. + 4-year college degree preferred. Work Environment The work environment is a mix of 75% office work and 25% field work. Local travel to project sites in Arizona is required. The role is based out of the Phoenix office for onboarding and on-the-job training. The standard workweek is 40 hours, with some flexibility required to meet project demands. A company vehicle is provided. Raises are given annually in June based on employee performance and merit. Bonuses are awarded based on reaching company budget goals. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $130000.00/yr. **Will be sent if candidate reaches final interview stage** Need to fill up more characters in this space because the req needs at least 100.
