JOB DESCRIPTION:
Project manager is expected to be a detailed-oriented, thorough, and organized individual with exceptional communication. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing operational budgets, full profit and loss responsibility for delivery of the completed project, coordinating resources, and managing projects through the entire project life cycle. They will be the single point of contact for all things related to their assigned project(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities and resources needed to meet budget and deadlines.
- Confer with personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to provide status as well as to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of specification, interpretation and application.
- Proactive problem solving.
- Crisis management.
- Building within budget.
- Client communication.
- Providing clear direction to foreman.
- Ensuring that all materials are available before sending crew to the job site.
- Meeting all commitments made to customer(s).
- Follow through from start to finish on projects.
EDUCATION &
EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Products required (specifically MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
- Well organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem solving required.
- 2-3 years’ experience in GC/CM Construction Management preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related discipline preferred.
- Experience managing commercial fence installation projects preferred.
- Proficient in Foundation Software preferred.
- Proficient with contract language and interpretation.
- Knowledgeable with ASTM Standards.
- Conflict resolution skills relating to architectural and engineering shortfall. (Presenting viable solutions)
- Estimating experience preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
