Description
Position Summary:
Develop, implement, and manage strategy and processes for capital projects and improvements. Responsible for planning and facilitating major projects, and executing those projects while collaborating with employees, vendors, and management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Managing projects from planning through delivery.
+ Liaison between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution within budgetary guidelines.
+ Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
+ Communicates schedule and changes to stakeholders.
+ Plan and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks.
+ Prepare agenda, meeting notes and project summaries.
+ Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans.
+ Allocates resources, budgets and hours to the project and adjusts when necessary.
+ Conduct long range studies of changes in major operational trends and servicing strategies. Projects long range programs to meet customer needs.
+ Advises management of any breakdown in communications, quality, or service issues, and ensures that corrective action is taken.
+ Keeps informed on new products or services and other general information of interest to the operations team.
Required Skills:
To qualify for consideration, an applicant with the following skills is highly preferred.
+ Above average written and spoken communication skills.
+ Experience in running and coordinating production and project schedules.
+ The ability to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations; should have knowledge of Leeco Steel general product line.
+ Analysis and interpretation, communication (oral and written), people skills, motivation, negotiating, organization, problem solving, handling outside contacts, judgement and decision making, coping with difficulties and emergencies.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related field.
+ Previous work as a Project Engineer.
