Project Manager

Looking for a Program Manager with 5+ Years of experience!

Railroad experience highly preferred!

 

About the Role: The Project Manager creates critical path diagrams,

manages project timelines, schedules, job progress, and closeout. They act as

the first level communicator to clients, architects, and engineers, and manage

various aspects of the construction process.

Responsibilities:

a. Create Critical Path Diagram and Schedules:

·  Ensure resources are efficiently allotted to serve the critical path.

·  Identify cost-effective methods to crash the critical path.

·  Provide schedules to superintendents and subcontractors.

b. Manage Project Timeline, Schedules, Job Progress, and Closeout:

·  Manage the full lifecycle of the job.

·  Act as the first-level communicator to the client, architect, and engineer.

c. Manage Superintendents:

·  Ensure superintendents fulfill their roles and responsibilities.

d. Manage Subcontractors:

·       Contract subcontractors.

·       Act as the first-level communicator with subcontractors after the job is awarded.

·       Monitor subcontractor performance.

·       Refer communication challenges to the President and VP of Operations, unless there is a Director of Project Management, who then will become the first level of communication. 

e. Manage Labor:

·  Inspire performance.

·  Ensure timely workflow.

·  Distribute labor effectively.

f. Manage the Shop:

·  Oversee all purchase orders (POs).

·  Solicit all large PO prices.

·  Review inventory reports.

·  Ensure proper bookkeeping.

g. Make Large Purchase Orders (Above $5,000):

·  Organize PO data.

·  Track and ensure deliverability.

·  Alert all stakeholders of PO status.

h. Manage All Data in Procore:

·  Create a logical classification of data.

·  Ensure all data is up to date.

·  Ensure all stakeholders are kept aware of progress and challenges.

·  Ensure data is backed up.

·  Manage data access.

i. Track and Record Expenses:

·  Monitor job budget.

·  Seek avenues to reduce costs.

·  Keep an organized record of all finances.

 

 

5-Director of Project Management

 

About

the Role: The Director of Project Management oversees all aspects of

project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and

closure of projects. They lead a team of project managers, ensure project goals

are achieved, and maintain communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

·  Lead, direct, and manage the project management team.

·  Develop and implement project management strategies and processes.

·  Oversee project planning, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

·  Allocate resources and staff for the successful execution of projects.

·  Monitor and control project timelines and budgets.

·  Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

·  Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.

·  Ensure project risks are identified and mitigated.

·  Report project status, issues, and risks to executive management.

·  Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making within the team and among stakeholders.

·  Maintain quality assurance and ensure compliance with relevant industry or company standards.

·  Conduct project review and create detailed reports for executive staff.

·  Continually develop and enhance project management methodologies and practices.

Qualifications:

·  Proven work experience as a Project Manager or Director of Project Management.

·  Advanced knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

·  Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.

·  Proficiency in project management software tools.

·  Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

·  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

·  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

·  BSc/BA degree in Business Administration or a related field; MSc/MA degree is a plus.

·  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $63.00/hr.
