The role you'll contribute to:
The Project Manager (PM)–Clinical Engineering Implementation, works under the guidance of the Clinical Engineering (CE) Director and within the current leadership structure of the CE department. The PM participates in all assigned projects and project meetings related to medical equipment by providing input and guidance related to new equipment purchases, installation requirements, proper functionality of medical equipment, the relocation or removing of existing assets, and major renovations and expansions of existing medical facilities. Projects are derived from various entities, such as, Adventist Information Technology/Project Management Office (AIT/PMO), Technical Services Project Management (TSPM), Office of Design and Construction (ODC), Medical Equipment Project Management Office (MEPMO), Facilities Review Activity (FRA), and Clinical leadership or directed by senior management. The PM supports all projects by providing expertise with planning and identifying appropriate medical equipment within the scope of the project plan or design of projects. Provides guidance with or without consultants, interfaces with hospital clinical and engineering staff, manages code compliance, and completes projects per the scope of work assigned. Responsibilities usually involve close working relationship with equipment manufacturer’s project managers and installers, consultant designers, contractors and often other individuals with expert skills in their field, the timely distribution of project information, and the management of other employees of AdventHealth. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors’ degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Computer/Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field of study
Five years of experience in healthcare facilities in Biomedical engineering role or equivalent experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
MBA in Project Management Track
Two years of project management experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent PM certification(s)
