The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for an experienced Project Manager / Computer Systems Engineer for the DISA Defense Red Switch Network in support of an enterprise VoIP management system – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at Fort Meade, MD.
The Project Manager / Computer Systems Engineer is responsible for working within a fast-paced project team to deliver high quality products efficiently and effectively. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The candidate will support the creation of a variety of media including HTML pages, complex technical graphics, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and briefing presentations. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, and creating/editing in markdown language; reviewing technical changes; demonstrating exceptional communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability in adjusting to shifting work requirements in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive project success.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects in an effort to support the planning and implementation of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN). Manage technical documentation including the Technical Implementation Guide (TIG), user manuals, technical specifications, installation guides, system security plans, system requirements documents, standard operating procedures, installation guides and briefings.Work independently, engage with required stakeholders, and execute an end-to-end plan to achieve operational efficiencies within the program. Work closely with technical resources to develop an approach, schedule, risks, and staffing requirements to successfully implement the objectives. Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas, external stakeholders, and the DISA customer. Take into account external activities that may drive dependencies or risks to the plan(s). Understand all applicable performance standards, operational impacts, and affected Acceptable Levels of Performance that may be impacted by the change.Support process improvements, including identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to streamline project execution.Provide overall support for customer meetings, including initial inputs for charts, action item tracking, and general data calls.Understanding of DISA implementation process and standard. Understanding of Site Assessment, Site Survey, Installation, and Commissioning equipmentAbility to interact/communicate with customer Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying external dependencies, risks, or delaysPrepare project documentation, including CDRLs, ROMB, COR/PMR/MOR Charts, 5x15, presentations, reports, and meeting minutes and actionsAssist/Monitor project tasks are completed in compliance with company and customer policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate and transfer inputs for program reviews (e.g., MOR, QBRs, etc.) and actions item tracking/coordinationBasic Qualifications:
Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI EligibilityBachelor's degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
