About the job:
Kent is seeking a Project Manager to support our team’s projects for downstream petrochemical, refining, plastics, low carbon energy, and decarbonization markets.
Skills and Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
Be a champion for Health, Safety, Sustainability and EnvironmentLead development of technical proposals, inclusive of evaluating scope, cost, and schedule as part of a project execution strategyManage and comply with complex master and professional service agreements and contracts in collaboration with Commercial and LegalMeet key project indicators developed as part of the execution of a projectAs owner of the change management process, ensure that changes from initial project objectives and scope of work are properly and timely identified, clarified, documented and formally communicated to the Client.Be accountable for scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and procurement on projects which you are managingDevelop bi-weekly and monthly management reports for Client and Kent Executive LeadershipProvide guidance on design processes and/or construction methodsParticipate in review and improvement of company’s project management best practicesManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimize project risks
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Prior direct experience in managing petrochemical, refining, plastics, low carbon, carbon capture, decarbonization projects is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or other related technical degree from a four-year college or universityMinimum 10 years direct work experience in a project management capacityIn depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industryUnderstanding of the engineering and construction industry by way of experience in past employment with EPC companies or clientsSelf-starter with hands-on approach and out-of-the-box thinking in development of project execution strategies that win projectsExperience and proficient in stage gate process Communication:Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills. Behavior/ Core Competencies:Strong leadership skills that promote collaborative culture and provides guidance to the project team.Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel and PowerPoint requiredProficient skills in reading and understanding cost report trends and forecasting and working with project engineering to bring project team to meet budgetsProficient skills in understanding the links in a critical path schedule to analyze and forecast outcomes and develop recovery plans as required
