We are currently recruiting a Project Manager/Design Manager with solid experience in Transportation and Water Designs and Team Leading, to join our busy and expanding experienced team with special focus on US, Canada and ANZ markets. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects across the globe. Our internal clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering Transportation and Water designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia, not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team.
Working virtually and at the AECOM’s Madrid office (hybrid work environment) within the Enterprise Capabilities (EC) group.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Manage international projects that will involve:projects with a full spectrum of services and other complexities, including all project phases (from beginning to close out)coordination with clients and other stakeholdersclose contact and coordination with design managersgood control of schedule and project performance using Earned Value technicsleadership and communication skills to lead coordination meetings, internal and with the client.Develop, review and enhance Project Performance reports/dashboards in collaboration with other PMs defining, tracking and measuring Project Performance with Earned Value technics.Develop, review and enhance EC Europe financial reports/dashboards and other business reports in collaboration with Operations Manager.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
6-8 years of overall experience in Civil Engineering with 2 years of experience in Project Management / Design Management.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within teams or in a wider collaboration and in different countries.Critical thinking, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Fluent in English (oral and written)Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.Team management experience.Flexibility. Must be able to work independently, and exercise good judgmentAbility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work with a high volume of transactions.Ability to perform and deliver under tight deadlines.Desired Requirements:
CAPM, PMP or other PM certification will be considered favorably.Good use of Excel (macros, queries and VBA), Power BI and MS Office including PowerPoint and Word.Experience working in the US, Canada and/or ANZ will be highly valuable.Experience working with design teams located in different countries.Preferred Qualifications:
