Summary: 

The Project Manager is responsible for management of all phases of the environmental services project beginning with the initial request for a proposal, project evaluation, pricing, buyout, execution of the work, and close out. The PM is responsible for client satisfaction, project quality, cost control, schedule adherence, and works as a team member with other members of the NES staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Plan, direct, coordinate, and prepare bid proposal activities for designated projects. Perform jobsite inspections, risk assessments, pre-bid walkthroughs, and if needed properly evaluate conditions and/or estimate the cost of the work. Prepare accurate detailed estimates and pricing for assigned projects. Prepare job cost set up, reporting, and analysis using the Nabholz job cost accounting systems. Produce complete and accurate invoices for services rendered. Jobsite management: Daily field operations oversight. Monitor general conditions and managing costs. Communicate effectively with all applicable parties (internal and external). Ensure projects are completed in a safe manner while adhering to all regulatory agencies. Work with job superintendent to establish all job requirements including but not limited to; job schedules, work plans, abatement techniques, equipment usage, materials, permits, fees, insurance certificates, hazardous conditions, safety procedures, damage control procedures, job site layout, sampling, reporting, and emergency procedures. Conduct Phase I, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations, and Asbestos Inspections. Collecting, processing, and evaluating data for report preparation. Scheduling, permitting, compliance, and mitigation related to projects. Occasionally, and as assigned, serve as project superintendent on environmental projects. Ensure resources (manpower, field supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, subcontractors, etc.) are available in a timely manner to carry out the work at the jobsite. Ensure all project documentation complies with all regulatory requirements. Actively participate in sales, business development activities, client relationship building, project pursuit, networking, and professional/technical organization involvement. Maintain positive relationship with clients. Maintain contact with previous clients and periodically check on work opportunities. Coordinate with Business Development office to follow up with project leads Participate in interview teams and presentations for potential projects. Produce budget & conceptual estimates. Manage bid document circulation process. Direct proper filing of estimate & bid information. Obtain other licenses and certifications relating to environmental assessment, indoor air quality, and sampling in Arkansas and surrounding states as required. This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes. All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree - Natural Science(s), Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred. 5+ years’ experience in environmental project management and remediation (asbestos, mold, lead, etc.) preferred. Current certification(s) for Arkansas Asbestos Inspector and/or Abatement Supervisor preferred. 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification preferred. CPR and First Aid training preferred. Current driver’s license required. Good computer and tablet skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software: Excel/databases, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Good interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

Travel overnight as projects or corporate responsibilities require. Continuously sit, stand, or walk. Bend, squat, climb stairs, or ladders. Lift frequently 20 pound and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Work environment:

Office, cubicle, or workstation. Job trailer or jobsite office. Active project sites for job walks.
