Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator
Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager/Estimator who can develop new business in line with our company's strategy and long-term goals. This role requires maintaining client relationships, developing conceptual estimates at early project stages, and preparing detailed estimates for turnover to the Service Operations team. The successful candidate will consult with clients on mechanical system operations, resulting in budget-based projects that support system performance and energy conservation.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business in line with the company's strategy and long-term goals.Maintain client relationships.Develop conceptual estimates at an early stage in projects.Communicate and turn over complete, detailed estimates to the Service Operations team.Consult with clients on mechanical system operations to create budget-based projects.Create job estimates and prepare project budgets and proposals.Track all sales leads and opportunities in the CRM (currently Unanet).Estimate and negotiate change orders.Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.Buy out equipment, fixtures, specials, and subcontracts.Expedite and track deliveries of materials, fixtures, specials, and equipment.Help track and expedite subcontractor long lead materials.Maintain working knowledge of accounts (clients), work scope, and project specifications.Maintain and control documents in compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.Supervise Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, including coaching, mentoring, and training.Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize, and schedule project work.Create and manage all project schedules in Smartsheet.Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and specifications.Communicate effectively with engineering staff to ensure complete designs within the project budget.Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to the team.Ensure full compliance with the company's Safety Program on job sites.Uphold company core values and maintain professionalism.Ensure regular attendance and promptness as essential job functions.Essential Skills10+ years of relevant work experience in estimation, construction management, and bidding.High level of technical competency.Understanding of HVAC functions.Ability to estimate bids for plumbing, piping, mechanical HVAC, and commercial construction.Ability to accurately estimate mechanical and plumbing work.Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.Strong understanding and communication of basic mechanical concepts.Advanced organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail with the ability to avoid significant financial losses.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong work ethic and results-driven mindset.Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, AutoDesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint Vista, OneNote, and North Boundary.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with CRM systems, especially Unanet.Proficiency in creating and managing project schedules in Smartsheet.Work Environment

This position offers onsite and hybrid flexibility. The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
