Responsibilities You will provide project management and oversight for Geospatial Information and Services (GI+S) projects and initiatives that support the GeoReadiness program mission and goals. You will coordinate project schedule and scope and monitor progress to ensure that work proceeds in a satisfactory manner. You will conduct review on GIS work products to confirm that program standards and technical requirements are met. You will work with users and customers to identify project and task requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using GIS methods, principles and techniques to generate and manage an organization's business data. Interpreting GIS data, tools and techniques to support land use and facilities planning processes. Using data (such as aerial photos, topological base maps, external datasets) to analyze facility management plans. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using GIS methods, principles and techniques to manipulate an organization's business data. Applying GIS data, tools and techniques to support land use and facilities planning processes. Using data (such as aerial photos, topological base maps, external datasets) to review facility management plans. Education For the GS-11, you may substitute the following education in lieu of specialized experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related Additional Information This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
