Project Manager Global Distribution RFID

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Adidas is engaging in a multi-year endeavour to enable its global network to RFID.

As Project Manager RFID you will be responsible to manage and deliver RFID projects on a local Distribution Center level within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on the customer’s expectation and requirements.

 

Projects may be managed & delivered independently from, or in collaboration with our 3PL providers.

 

Support market Senior management team and Sr. Manager RFID for decision making in the areas of projects and key initiatives. Play a leadership role in collaborating and promoting the mindset of one global SCM organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Management

Lead and manage and successfully deliver assigned DC RFID projects, end-to-end, as well as support larger Global RFID initiative. Ensure full understanding of project scope to be able to design detailed project plans. Manage the execution and completion of the defined project plan by effectively coordinating people and resources. Monitor and highlight any project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan and make suggestions to implement corrective or preventative actions. If required, support any changes for the respective project and ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits. Finalize all activities across the projects/programs to formally close and hand over the project, ensuring project documents are approved, completed, maintained and stored appropriately.

 

 

Financials and Controlling

Control the allocated project costs on time and in budget. Ensure compliance with Global and functional standards, e.g. Global RFID Playbook Manage project budget by tracking and reporting the monthly budget actuals and variances and ensure timely and accurate invoicing

 

Communication

Use appropriate and effective communication methods to Senior Management and project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, in order to successfully deliver and embed the project within the organization.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

 

Knowledge of RFID and Warehouse Management technologies Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end Business mindset: very good numerical and analytical skills Good experience in managing projects on a global or Market level Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures Good communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups), especially when interacting with different levels of business Very strong presentation skills Able to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo and drive change Fluent in English (verbal and written) Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally, as needed 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

 

Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience in mid-scale projects with hands-on data analytics experience Strong experience in Project Management, ideally PMI certified Strong general SCM background Experience working with international stakeholders and experts at various organizational levels
