Kimley-Horn has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated project manager for civil infrastructure (mechanical) to join our growing surface water team in St. Petersburg, FL. The successful candidate specializes in civil and mechanical engineering.
Responsibilities Assist with the management and leading of civil infastructure projectsDevelop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidanceTrain and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineeringPerform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages, while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire projectLead and provide support for construction phase efforts on heavy infastructure projectsSupport and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team membersContribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, requiredProfessional licensure as a P.E. in Florida8+ years of diversified mechanical engineering experienceMarketing experience including scopes of work, fees and budgets, and schedulesHistory of providing technical design and planning in the areas of heavy infastructure work including hydraulic lift systems, electric/drum and cable, etcStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitablyAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous deadlinesStrong technical writing and communication skillsAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
