For Grid Solutions, Offshore HVDC represents a key differentiating technology and a central focus for the business, particularly in Europe where Transmission System Operators have very ambitious renewable energy targets. In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions is partnering with TenneT, which plans to invest more than $30B by 2030 in deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany and the Netherlands.
In this context, Grid Solutions is looking for a **HVDC Project Manager** who will oversee large packages part of a portfolio of several mega HVDC projects in Germany (contracts value > $1B) with main focus initially on Scope and Change Management.
The HVDC Project Manager will be responsible for her/his project/work package on-time delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. She/He will provide leadership to strategically manage scope & changes, risks & opportunities, and report technically interface status to the Senior Management. He / She ensures that the project/work package follows high standards in terms of quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

**Major Responsibilities in details:**
+ **Manage the close out phase for a large GE work-package of one mega HVDC Project in Germany > 1B$.**
+ Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive close-out plan, including handover schedules, punch list resolution, warranty cases resolution and final documentation delivery.
+ Ensure completion of outstanding work, testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
+ Act as the primary point of contact between the client, subcontractors, and internal teams during the close-out phase.
+ Liaise with the engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure all scopes are finalized.
+ Support Project Planning: Develops and monitors the Master Time Schedule, manages Project float to ensure timely completion of the Project.
+ Finalize and reconcile outstanding payments, invoices, and claims.
+ Oversee the resolution of variation orders, claims, and counterclaims in coordination with the contract team.
+ Ensure compliance with the contractual entitlements during project closure.
+ Verify that all close-out activities comply with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards.
+ Lead final inspections, audits, and certifications required for project completion.
+ Capture and document lessons learned to improve close-out processes in future projects.
+ Prepare and submit detailed close-out reports for internal and client review.
+ Manage a cross-functional close-out team, ensuring alignment on goals and responsibilities.
+ Deliver on Environmental Health & Safety (‘EHS’), On-Time-Delivery (‘OTD’) and financial objectives (sales, margin, billing, cash) for the GE scope.
+ Support exercise commercial and finance controls during the execution of the project with regular reporting and forecasting of project metrics and KPIs.
+ Ensure the coordination of technical support/engineering, manufacturing/supply and onsite construction resources.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable (Master / Dipl.).
+ Minimum of 5 years in project management or project execution of large and complex projects (+$100M minimum) as well as professional leadership of international project teams.
+ Experience managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects, and project close-out phase is a plus
+ Good knowledge of electrical systems - HVDC technologies is a plus.
+ Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, as well as planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
+ Very good communication skills, strong customer orientation as well as structured working methods and ability to work in a team.
+ Willingness to travel on business.
+ Fluent in English and German
+ Certification / further training as a Project Manager / PMP is an advantage.
+ Experience in contract & claim management for large and complex projects
