As a Project Manager I, you are responsible for managing a project from design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout . You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. Manages simple projects typically defined as: studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort; services only, spares or projects with minimal deliverables. Typically, there is no responsibility of managing team members directly, but rather an introduction to people management. This role can, and often is, used as a Control Account Manager on a larger program You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and program closeout. You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders. The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent.

Responsibilities:

Track all aspects of programs assignedInteract with Senior Leaders on status of programsDevelop internal and external relationships with strategic customers and vendorsUnderstand all financial aspects of programs assignedInteract with the customer - monthly status, spend plans, logistics supportBuild/provide/brief slides on program statusInteract with Operations, Engineering, and Business OperationsCoordinate non-labor acquisition to include tracking purchase orders/material needed to support project requirementsMonitor resource allocations - ensure resources are properly sourced Understand the Risk Register and how it supports the management reserveCreate/Monitor rolling action item lists for programs  

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fieldMinimum 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management softwareDemonstrated experience in managing a project.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical skills & capability to meet schedulesStrong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationBasic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar toolExperience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project executionExperience in resource planning and management during project executionExperience with risk management planning and documentationFamiliarity with government contracting and regulations
