Throughout the delivery life cycle, the Project Manager collaborates with the Scrum Master, clients, and internal teams to continually iterate while keeping the project on track. This individual is also responsible for providing clarity in the client’s timeline and budget while mitigating risks to delivering a successful website or product. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and client services, familiarity with basic software development practices, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative, open, and dynamic environment. **Job Description** + Takesprojects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaceswithand tracks all areas affected by the scope of the project,including business users, and vendors. + Develops and tracks budgets and financial cost forecasts to support the objectives of the project. + Definesproject scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organizesand leadsproject status and working meetings; preparesand distributesprogress reports; managesrisks and issues; correctsdeviations from plans; and performsdelivery planning for assigned projects. + Assistsin team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveragesorganizational resources to improve capacity for project work; mentorsand developsteam members. + Supportsproduct ownersin managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance. + Definesand managesa well-defined project management process and championsongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile project management. + Promotesempowerment of the team, ensuresthat each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encouragesa sustainable pace with highlevels of quality for the team. **Minimum** **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration,or a related academic field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. + 5+years’ experience successfully implementing projects with a wide variety of assignments. + 5+ years’ experience in project management. + Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment. + Solid understanding of, and demonstrated experience using, Agile project management tools (such as ADO, TFS, Jira, Rally, VersionOne or equivalent),Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office tools. + Experience overseeing multi-function project teams,includingdevelopers, business analysts, and QApersonnel. + In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence. + Very effective interpersonalskills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. + Stronganalytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands. + Proven ability to lead projects and ensurethatobjectives, goals, and commitments are met. + Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details whilekeeping in mindthe big picture. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’sdegreein Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration,or a relatedfield. + Project Management Professional(PMP)certificationor Certified Scrum Master. + 5years’ experience with stakeholder management with influencing, facilitation and negotiation skills. + Sufficient level of technical background to provide highlycredible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues. + Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value. + ExperiencewithScrum/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects(PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred). + Strong and current awareness of external trends and best practices. + Experience with large initiatives that requiredorganizational change managementskills regarding the rollout and adoption of a project’s outcome. + Extensive knowledge of the principles, processes, and tools of project management. + Knowledgeofproduct development methodologies, managing product launches or project management,specifically supporting a product and services department. + Experience withhealthcareproducts or launching products in a services-oriented industry. **Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City is an equal opportunity employer.
