The Research Informatics Operations (RIO) team is looking for a seasoned project manager to support the information system needs of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) research community. This position will report to the Director of Account Services, Clinical Trials, and will work closely with Dana-Farber clinical research stakeholders and functional leaders within I&A to identify, prioritize, and address the clinical research data informatics needs of DFCI and the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) collaboration.

Responsibilities Project assessment for importance to DFCI mission.Oversight of scheduling and timely completion of projects.Communication and providing support for projects.Manage complex assignments, whether studies, research projects, or organizational projects.Training new staff; demonstrated proficiency in managing complex, cross departmental projects as necessary and serving as mentor, guide, or supervisor for other staff. Qualifications MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.Three years’ minimum of professional, related experience overseeing complex projects.PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferred; college courses and/or very related experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree Additional higher education courses related to project management, healthcare administration, quality management, process improvement highly preferredExperience in an oncology setting preferredProject management, customer service, communications experience preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Extremely strong project management and organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to drive multiple concurrent projects to completion in a deadline-driven environmentProven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing prioritiesSelf-motivated, independent, and able to learn new content quickly and apply it projectsEffective diplomatic skills and ability to use good judgement and discretionSuperior communication and customer-service skills, able to work effectively with all levels of the organizationEffective leadership and management skillsStrong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills to evaluate all aspects of a situation and make appropriate decisionsExceptional attention to detail to ensure high quality deliverablesIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to exercise good judgment in decision-making and completing job responsibilities
