Project Manager (IT): III (Senior)
Description We are in search of a Project Manager (IT): III (Senior) to join our team in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In this role, you will take the lead in overseeing medium to large size projects that involve multiple business units and impact multiple software applications. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and execution of complex, high visibility projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and meet customer needs • Collaborate with business unit managers and project sponsors to define project scope, deliverables, budget, and schedule • Provide project management services in support of IT team's assigned business segment goals • Build and manage project teams, identifying risks, implementing changes, and monitoring progress • Communicate effectively about project progress and related issues, keeping team members informed • Use project management tools such as Microsoft Project to create and track project schedules • Employ project methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Waterfall to facilitate project implementation • Ensure project deliverables are met and align with customer needs • Utilize communication and leadership skills to effectively represent IT-related concepts • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in managing IT projects, preferably at a senior level. • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies, including Agile Scrum and Waterfall. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the organization. • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team. • Experience in managing project budgets and understanding budget processes. • Familiarity with project implementation and delivering high-quality results. • Proficiency in using project monitoring tools and software applications such as Microsoft Project. • Knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and project methodologies. • Ability to work with various business units to ensure alignment with project objectives. • Experience in preparing and delivering project deliverables on time and within budget. • Understanding of quality management principles in a project context. • Ability to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of projects. • Certification in Project Management is desirable but not essential.
