Job Description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide, cross- functional strategic initiatives. PMs lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large- scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process engineering and infrastructure upgrade and deployment. This role is expected to lead all project efforts in accordance with the defined organizational project standards, which align with industry best practices.  This is an individual contributor role managing matrixed teams, and requires leadership and influencing capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Be accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating and delivering the projectEnsuring results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefitDirect one or more large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partnersManage all parts for the project life cycle and works with BU IT partners to oversee all phases of a projectManage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost and quality parameters rigorously, Validate financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other project related expendituresDevelop communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilitiesRepresent the project in various project governance and inter-department forumsChair weekly core team and monthly operating committee meetings to review progress with key constituentsDefine and track milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery planDevelop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifactsContribute to the long term strategic goals of the organizationOther duties as assigned

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Project Managers are responsible for managing regional IT projects.PMs usually work with Sr Project Manager, Program Manager or Director IT, on different types of IT projects

QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline5 to 7 years of Project Management experience in a multinational companyPMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification preferredFocused team player who is comfortable under pressureStrong presentation skillsHighly organizedProven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, mobilize and motivate team: set direction and approach: resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace: execute with limited information and ambiguityAbility to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectivelySolid influencing skillsSound business and technical acumenFocused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressureAbility to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verballyAbility to remove barrier and enable teams to complete their objectivesDemonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projectsExemplary core management skills including multiple aspects of PMBOKExtensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management and SDLC methodologies and tools
