The primary responsibility of the capital project manager is to support our client by developing well-defined project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and managing the projects from initial endorsement through final project handover. A successful project manager will maintain the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and actively manage project challenges in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects in parallel with varying size (typically $500k - $10M+ TIC) and complexities. Projects will include GMP manufacturing and process-improvement projects, critical utility system upgrades, facility renovations, and non-GMP capital projects.
Project managers willl be fully accountable for projects assigned to them. They will work with an EPCM team but, as project managers, should also be competent in project execution, including but not limited to:

Cost Management and Forecasting: Project Managers will be accountable for managing project cost as provided by project controls, including cashflows and the logic applied. Scheduling Management: Understanding of End-to-End Project planning principles, progress monitoring, and milestone forecasting. Decision Making: Drive decisions and problem resolution while managing stakeholders in project environments. Identify and manage complex cross project dependencies. Acts decisively in critical situations or to circumvent potential problems. Support and mentor team members through the decision process / outcome management Communication: Keep stakeholders informed of project direction and change in a timely fashion. Facilitate and actively promote open communication with the project team. Chair regular project meetings with project stakeholders, end users, and team members. Manage stakeholder expectations while proactively communicating project progress, risks and issues, including timely provision of project reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and action logs. Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of deliverables, project status and key focus areas. Team and Client-Focus: Share best practices and foster continuous improvement through team collaboration. Maintain effective cross-functional partnerships within the capital team and site. Build rapport and trust with other Project Managers and teams. Create lasting and productive partnerships with all stakeholders.Understand and support the development of the team members’ strengths and weaknesses.
