The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development of programs that support the organization’s main objectives. The Program Coordinator oversees and coordinates these programs and initiatives to ensure that they meet business and quality goals. Duties include program management and oversight of the primary care and community medicine service line and Maryland Primary Care Program (MDPCP).The program coordinator also helps to coordinate and manage various subject-matter programs, implementing program policies, researching and gathering resources, and communicating with various stakeholders.
The program coordinator position is part of the Primary Care and Community Medicine team and reports into the Senior Leadership Team.Communicates regularly with Senior Leadership team to ensure programs achieve their goals and meet the organization’s quality standards,Provide oversight of programs through monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance activities.Have the ability to think creatively and strategically.Manage administrative and programmatic aspects of initiatives, including budgeting, reporting and liaison with grantors as needed.Oversee quality management activities and integrate quality improvement into daily program operations, in collaboration with Senior Leadership.Develop new programs or expands and manages existing programs or initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.Develop detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, identification of system barriers, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.Participate in monthly leaderhsip meetings.Identify opportunities to improve clinical and administrative processes.Identifies issues and recommends initiatives to address data quality and data integrity.Responsible for managing strategic, multiple complex, cross-boundary projects, services and associated deliverables related to data analysis activities in support of Primary Care objectives.Ensures goals are met in areas including patient satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performanceRequired Minimum Experience: Five years in a health care delivery system, population health management, and/or value based initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experienceProject Management Certification preferredMinimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare field or project managementAbility to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demandsHigh motivation and achievement orientationEssential Qualifications:
Ability to work with multiple system sites and stakeholders both owned and independent.Ability to understand payer contracts and incentives.Ability to build strong partnerships across the continuum of care.There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands -
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
