The Project Manager - Orion Solar Array Wing Camera will support the JETS II contract in Houston, Texas. \n

RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nPerform project management and engineering functions for Orion Solar Array Wing (SAW) Camera upgrade development, including requirements development, hardware development, manufacturing, assembly, and test.\nManage the engineering team for the specific Camera upgrade development subsystem.\nProvide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support.\nMonitor cost performance for their subsystem development against established plans.\nDevelop and maintain company and customer financial reports.\nOversee and develop schedules (MS Project and Smartsheet), procedures, work instructions and process flows.\nDevelop risks and risk mitigation plans for rollup into the higher-level risk system.\nInteract frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA System Managers, and operational customers.\nOther duties as assigned. \n\n

REQUIRED:\n

\n\nThis position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information. \nRequires a bachelor's degree in engineering.\nMust have 5+ years of recent and related work experience. License and certification may be required.\nExperience managing and leading engineering projects.\nExperience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating.\nAbility to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.\nKnowledge and understanding of MS Project and Smartsheet tools; and generate PowerPoint charts.\nKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software.\n\n

DESIRED:\n\nKnowledge of Flight Hardware and\/or Flight Processes\/Paperwork.\nExperience with NASA processes.\n\n

WORK LOCATION: \n\nThis position is located onsite. \nThis position offers a 9\/80 schedule, every other Friday off. \nThis position may require some travel. \n\n

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:\n

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:\n\nMust have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAll of Bastion's employees must be team players. \nAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.\nAble to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.\nMust have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.\nMust be organized with good time management skills.\nGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.\nWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). \nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).\nRegular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.\n\n
