We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The chosen candidate will initially assist with a large expansion effort in Miami Lakes and eventually will be involved with Project Management for projects globally. This Project Manager will represent the owner, ensuring projects meet contract expectations and oversee several General Contractors. The Project Manager will have bottom-line responsibility for the successful completion of all project phases and accountability for the technical success of the assigned projects. The role involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, and systems. The Project Manager will manage projects from inception to completion, including baseline, budget, costs, schedule, risk management, general work performance, quality, and overall progress.
Responsibilities
+ Lead strategy meetings to create project baselines, initiate phases, identify constraints, plan, execute, and close projects.
+ Create schedules of values and project logs, plan safety and mobilization, and review and validate with the project's core team.
+ Monitor project progress concerning the plan and budget status and provide weekly status reports to Management.
+ Ensure projects are completed on time, meet or exceed project margin goals, and adhere to specified quality standards.
+ Proactively address and resolve issues, escalating as necessary to ensure the best interests of the organization.
+ Build effective working relationships with customers, teammates, and vendors to meet established deadlines.
+ Chair and present all schedule and management meetings necessary to monitor projects and send reports to peers and upper management.
+ Raise and discuss relevant project issues at meetings and issue minutes of all site meetings.
+ Create change requests and change orders for tools/drawings and expedite/prioritize all shop drawings updates and approvals.
+ Prepare all required documentation to properly close out projects.
+ Gather information and complete complex production reports, including quality non-conformances.
+ Provide suggestions for improvement in yields, ergonomics, handling, line organization, etc.
+ Lead or represent management in related meetings such as MRB, weekly highlights, monthly and quarterly business reviews.
+ Utilize Microsoft Project management software to track all proposed tasks, progress, and completion.
+ Maintain and report change order status in a timely manner via PLM.
+ Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
+ Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next level of management.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
+ 3+ years of related experience successfully managing commercial or industrial construction projects.
+ Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Project and PM methodology.
+ Proficiency with systems such as PLM, JDE, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
+ Understanding of estimating, purchasing, scheduling, planning, and lean concepts.
+ Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, change orders, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing capabilities.
+ Ability to lead complex projects of large scope.
+ Ability to read/interpret MSMD, complex engineering drawings, and other technical documentation associated with production and interpret machine performance test results.
+ Ability to distribute work and effectively convey instructions to a diverse group with different levels of expertise.
+ Understanding and capability to apply regulatory (QSR, ISO, BSI, FDA, cGMP) requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with commercial construction, industrial projects, clean rooms, and project engineering.
+ Experience with construction management, change orders, RFIs, and project coordination.
Work Environment
Work on-site at the Miami Lakes facility with 15-25% travel to other sites as needed for projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $60.00/hr.
