The Project Manager will assist the FIGHT for Life research project’s Principal Investigator, with the overall project management, coordination of community engagement activities in the Albany, GA area. They will work closely with local staff, community stakeholders, health systems representatives, and the RCMI Community Engagement Core leadership team. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating all operational facets of the community engagement coordination within the FIGHT for Life study, programmatically and administratively. As such the ideal candidate will be adept at project management, community engagement, and effectively managing staff and fiscal resources.
The Project Manager will monitor the overall productivity of the project including the outcomes of all activities of research study. This position will monitor the activities, work product, workflow and accomplishments of the study staff. The Project Manager will need to be a self-starter, to ensure that all activities proposed are best fit to address the local needs and demands stipulated in the grant application. Responsibilities include training, providing technical assistance, staff supervision and management, review, coordination, and expansion of community engagement activities with collaborating entities. In addition, she or he will also provide training, as needed, to self-selected sites and community partners; in addition to working with key community stakeholders ensuring sustainability of projects beyond the allotted funding period. The Project Manager will provide guidance for coordination and engagement activities. The Project Manager is responsible for completing the required reports and other required paperwork (monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, program summaries, etc.). In addition, the Project Manager will be expected to assist with data analyses and write up of scientific manuscripts. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in a leadership position managing projects. Experience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating research projects. Demonstrates exceptional communication skills to coordinate with donors, funders, and other key stakeholders. Proven ability to write technical reports, program documents and deliver presentations. Must be able to travel locally/domestically. Strong organizational skills; ability to operate in this role autonomously; ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, time management skills, and follow-through. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Effective problem-solving skills; must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, sound judgment and good decision-making. Preferred Qualifications Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Develop and monitor the implementation of goals, objectives, and procedures for sites. Identify gaps, prioritize needs, and provide technical assistance to community partners to overcome challenges. Ensure evidence-based programs are implemented with fidelity. Responsible for grant planning, budgeting, and reporting activities. Assist with development and monitoring of implementation of goals, objectives, and procedures connected with RCMI network-wide community engagement activities.
