We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Project Manager/Senior Business Analyst
Marsh Operations is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Senior Business Analyst who has an accomplished track record in demonstrating strategic thinking, complex problem solving, and technical evaluations across a wide variety of projects/assignments. We are looking for an individual contributor working closely with partners in Operations, Technology and Data organization and directly reporting to senior management. This role is aligned for a key projects focused on Digitization, Automation and Standardization of manual processes across business units, with a global scope of work covering all regions across Marsh.
We will count on you to:
Translate business strategies and objectives into business requirements
Develop functional and operational requirements using requirements management methodology and tools
Document, test and analyze final requirements; ensure requirements are communicated effectively to parties responsible for technical development and implementation
Define and implement best practices with internal and external vendors, including continuous review
Provide high-level project resolution and troubleshooting for business analysis team projects
Provide direct input to management on the development of strategic initiatives for the team
Project/financial analysis of cost vs benefits
Lead decision-making processes required to move projects along to completion, and make steady and agreed upon progress on assigned programs/projects
Lead cross-business unit projects and program work streams, and work closely with the business leader and apply appropriate project management methodology
Present feedback and trend analyses to senior management, as well as early warning indicators regarding at exposure possibilities
Proactively respond to new project needs or changes in scope and identify and resolve issues, assess the work plan direction versus the new input demands, and implement a change control process
Review significant project proposals of high complexity and ambiguous parameters with high visibility and identifiable risk to the Company, validate all project requirements, and provide recommended changes to proposal, as appropriate
Explore and recommend solutions to the project requirements for projects where there is no identified precedent
Participate in recommending new standards and procedures based upon project experience and results
What you need to have:
8+ years of experience working on projects/ initiatives around Data Governance, Client Data Strategy, Client Hierarchy Definitions
Ability to understand and analyze vast data sets and provide inputs for technical system design formulation
Ability to interview Subject Matter Experts (SME) to document Current State Process and formulate strategies to design efficient and/ or redesigned processes
Strong written and verbal communication to work across cross section of Operations, Technology and Data Teams and present solutions to senior management
Ability to formulate Design principles, technical integration evaluations (APIs), documenting technical requirements
Experience working on Data Modelling, Data Definitions, Data Glossary

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $77,600 to $165,300.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
