Project Manager Senior- Transformation (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

Project Mgr Sr - Primary responsibility is ensuring the success of the complex projects they spearhead; including overseeing that projects are completed on schedule, on budget, and within scope, and meet the quality and standards of Baylor Scott & White. This position is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy. The Project Mgr Sr will be responsible for the success of projects that range in size, but are primarily focused on programs and projects that are large and critical to organizational leadership. The incumbent possesses the interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage senior leaders.  They are also expected to mentor and aid in the professional development of participants in their projects. Employees in this role are assigned to support a wide range of projects that seek to transform Baylor Scott & White Health through initiatives that improve operational efficiency, quality, and customer experience. Candidate experience in process improvement and change management are preferred. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Utilizes a systems approach to conduct operational analyses of organizational or departmental systems and processes.  Consults with management and/or team to design and implement operational improvement strategies and monitors effectiveness.  Provides decision support to leadership to support operational decisions.

Participates in performance improvement teams and provides facilitation and technical support to assist the teams including collection and analysis of data and documentation of results.  May serve as a team leader or coach for process improvement and problem solving teams.

\n

Defines project scope, timelines and resources required to complete business objective within time frame required. Includes quality control measures and reporting systems and communication plan in project documentation.

Establishes project deliverables and timeframes and holds project team accountable for completion, keeping in mind both short term and long term objectives.

Establishes clear project charter, team roles, responsibilities and accountabilities to ensure success of project.

Prepares and presents project scope document and reaches agreement on project parameters, and mechanics. Receives approvals at each phase of project.

Negotiates with appropriate management for resources required to successfully complete projects. Identifies project activities, skills required and time commitment for project team members.

Presents the business case for the project, number and types of resources required. Explains approach to project and strategy for completion.

Secures an executive sponsor.

Manages the lifecycle of the project, resolving problems, providing feedback to project team members, securing training, tools required.

Initiates project, assesses risks, determines project costs, and monitors quality for results.

Establishes reporting requirements, communication methods for updating all interested parties regarding project progress, cost and successes. Removes hurdles to project completion.

Determines appropriate reporting needed to support project milestones and stakeholder requirements
Implements dashboards, reporting tools and updates as required.

Establishes risk profiles, quantifies risk data and develops responses. Recommends contingencies as needed with assistance from senior management.

Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

Certification in project management and/or Lean methodology is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

- EXPERIENCE - 7 Years of Experience
