We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of new product development (NPD) and value engineering projects by leading a project team through efficient project definition, successful planning, and execution to fulfill the overall project targets. The project manager will actively control status of all project targets and manage project risks during execution of all project stages. This individual must be able to work in a matrix environment and understand what is required to successfully drive a project to completion. This role will be based ON-SITE at our Torrance, CA site. What we’ll get you doing: + Assure execution of Product Development and Value engineering projects of Consumable products for separations consumables, within timeline, budget and quality constraints while meeting scope, quality system requirements + Facilitate achievement of milestones of stage gate/tollgate development process + Actively adopt Danaher Growth and Innovation Tools in driving R&D projects at Core Team setting + Proactively manage project schedule and critical path. Identify project risks. Propose and implement countermeasures to mitigate risks and to ensure project on time delivery + Control project costs and prepare accurate forecast on R&D cost and capital expenses The essential requirements of the role include: + Bachelor's degree in a life science or chemistry field with preference for at least 5 years’ experience in product research, design, and development. Graduate degree in a life science discipline with preference for at least 2 years’ experience in product research, design, and development. + Prefer minimum of 3 years’ in-depth project management experience including, having at least brought one product development project to launch + Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to report project status across all levels of management + Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, managing complex projects and cross-functional teams while driving the process to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment + Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint + Ability to manage resources, priorities, budgets and schedules for on time delivery of quality products It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Successful project management track record within the life science sector + Stage gate design control experience in highly regulated development and manufacturing environments + Experience in risk management and reduction methodologies + Experience developing product requirement specifications in accordance with customer needs and product concepts + PMP preferred; and solid understanding of life sciences and/or healthcare an asset The salary range for this role is $90,600 - $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
