Description
Robert Half Technology is seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Project Manager to lead the replacement and integration of financial systems for a municipal organization client. The project involves migrating part of the existing ERP to Workday while integrating various other systems such as parks, public works, and the police department. This role will require managing stakeholders across finance, legal, police, fire, and public safety departments to ensure successful execution.
Job Title: ERP Implementation Project Manager
Contract Duration: 18-24 months
Location: Kent, Washington (hybrid)
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the project during the discovery and implementation phases, providing overall project management and decision-making processes.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, police, fire, and public safety departments to ensure the project meets all organizational needs.
+ Manage system integration efforts with existing platforms for payroll, parks, public works, and other business systems.
+ Oversee the development of RFI and RFP processes, ensuring accurate documentation and solution-building for finance and HRIS systems.
+ Guide the team in eliciting requirements and developing solutions that align with organizational goals.
+ Drive implementation of new public safety technologies, including AI-powered cameras and records management solutions.
+ Ensure the successful replacement of the finance system within the ERP, with a focus on invoicing, accounting, and finance processes.
+ Facilitate the collaboration between multiple departments for a seamless transition to Workday.
Requirements
+ Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals, particularly in eliciting and managing requirements.
+ Extensive experience implementing HRIS/ERP systems, especially on the finance side (Workday preferred).
+ Proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with a focus on ERP implementation in a structured environment.
+ Familiarity with finance-related ERP integrations and system enhancements.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
+ Experience with public sector projects, particularly those involving police, fire, legal, and court systems.
+ Understanding of public safety technology, such as AI and camera-based records management.
+ Prior experience with municipal department integrations and multi-stakeholder environments.
Tools:
+ Proficient in MS Project, MS Teams, and SharePoint Online.
Soft Skills:
+ Vendor-agnostic approach, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external vendors.
