Project Manager - Tool Management
Position Summary: The Project Manager - Tool Management will manage and follow up on the various projects the Director of Tool Management Optimization has going on at any given time.  This role will organize teams and ensure assignments are being completed and reporting out on the progress. This position will manage and create content, which includes documentation of projects.  The position will use 6 sigma tools to validate effectiveness of projects.  The Project Manager will use Tool OEM's and various internal and external SMEs to identify the scope and desired outcomes along with timelines for reporting out and completing projects.
Major Responsibilities: • Manage multiple projects simultaneously that involve multiple cross-functional teams. • Develop and maintain a project plan, which may include the project requirements, technical solution, resource plan, work plan, and estimated project duration/effort. • Monitor all project activity, budget and resources to ensure the project remains on schedule, within budget, and that no rework is required. • Effectively communicate the project status, roles, scope changes, issues and risks to all project participants. • Understand, support and apply standard project management tools as applicable. • Analyze and prioritize project activities and client needs in order to establish realistic deadlines. • Develop an understanding of the customer needs and the business and project objectives. • Identify process improvement opportunities that will eliminate defective processes and introduce better control inputs and changes. • Other projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Black Belt certification preferred • 3 years of experience leading projects, supervising or coordinating team projects required • 3 years of experience managing technical solutions and projects required • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Manager proficiency • Query capabilities, Qlik, Excel, SQL • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to lead and manage required • Ability to multitask  • Must have strong organizational skills • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are required.
